Note: If necessary, touch the Status bar and drag it down, tap Connected as a media device and then tap Media device to select the check box. On your computer, open Samsung Kies. Inside Samsung Kies, click the Back up / restore tab. If necessary, click the Restore tab. Next to Music and Photo, click the check box to select the check box.

i. Backup Galaxy Note 3 data using Kies 3

  1. Connect your Galaxy Note 3 to PC using the USB data cable, and then launch the Kies 3 software.
  2. Click the Back up/Restore tab and then select Data backup.
  3. Here, you can select the individual items that you would like to backup or check Select all items.
  4. Click the Backup button to begin saving the selected items to your PC. The destination folder is shown at the bottom of the Back up/Restore screen.

ii. Restore Galaxy Note 3 data using Kies 3

  1. Connect your Galaxy Note 3 to PC using the USB data cable, and then launch the Kies software.
  2. Go to Back up/ Restore > Restore data.
  3. Next, choose the appropriate backup file on the Select the backup file to restore drop down menu.
  4. Then, check the items that you would like to restore or check Select all items.
  5. Click the Restore button.
  6. Once the restore finishes, click Complete to reload the phone.
